Mylk maker / Tiger and Float partner
|
Hello! We definitely need a mylk maker by the beginning of May, but we are using this opportunity to also broadcast a wider need - someone who had the experience and time to help take Tiger and Float forward. This is why this application has two options, please feel free to make an application for either, or both.
Tiger and Float make dairy-free mylks that are delivered to people's doorsteps, shops and cafe's in re-usable glass bottles. Environmental sustainability is at the core of our values - as well as being a zero-waste initiative, the oats for Float are a unique variety sourced specially in association with Hodmedods, and most mylk is made and delivered within an ultra-local radius. The role would currently be for someone who is self-employed. This could change as we formalise the company structure. A driving license and own vehicle would be preferred. Option 1: Mylk Maker 3 part days / 16.5 hours per week. £9 per hour, to increase after the second month in the role. The making of tigermylk and float happens at our kitchen unit in St. Philips, Bristol. It is a methodical process that requires attention and focus, but also allows you to listen to music or podcasts during the time. A making session, from start to finish, generally takes between 4-6 hours, depending on the amount of bottles and efficiency. We will often in the same space at the same time, so its important we get on and can chat. It is a labour intensive, on-your-feet process, which some people find quite satisfying (especially if you have other work that only involves looking at a screen!), but also requires energy and perseverance. Option 2: Tiger and Float Partner 4 / 4.5 full days per week, 32 -38 hours per week, either £9 per hour or share of profits, or alternative dependent on experience Tiger and Float has a good reach in Bristol, but it could be much more. The ultimate aim would be to provide a locally made oatmylk and tigermylk service that reached every area of the city - cafe's, educational establishments, workplaces and more, providing a high quality and sustainable mylk for an affordable price. To do this, we would need to establish a micro-brewery type set-up, with significant investment in equipment - or develop a model that employs more people instead of a very expensive automated process! It is possible that mylk maker was included in this role - however, it could be that you just have experience on the brewery set up / funding / grants / investment side of things and want to help on this. The ideal candidate would have worked in or helped set up breweries, or have worked in / established other types of food production businesses - or otherwise would be very practically minded and eager to learn, or skilled in finding funding / support to help develop towards these aims There are also some other plans which are a bit more secret, that you could also help to develop! ----------------- To apply for either Mylk Maker or Tiger and Float partner, please send an email to hello@tigerandfloat.co.uk with either "Job: Mylk Maker" or "Job: Tiger and Float partner" in the subject line. Please put your cover letter in the body of your email, and attach a CV. Thanks and all the best, look forward to hearing from you. |
